Many clients ask me, “Jeron, can you help me pick a location? I don’t know where a good location is.” This has been asked many times, and I’m happy to finally have one link to all the answers.
The following locations are some of my favorite places to take photos in the Salt Lake Valley.
1. Tunnel Springs Park
Tunnel Springs Park is located in North Salt Lake, and it quite possibly has some of the most AMAZING golden hour shots there is. This location is well known for its grassy fields that are green in the early spring, and an amazing yellow in the summer and fall.
This location is particularly perfect for individuals and couples. But it can be good with families too.
2. International Peace Gardens
The International Peace Gardens is located in the Salt Lake City / West Valley area. The perfect thing about the International Peace Gardens is the many spots that you can get pictures of. From vines, to a wooden German door and even a bridge. This location is amazing, especially for small families.
3. The Riverwoods (in Provo)
The Riverwoods is the perfect location for that “urban” feeling. From the mountains in the background, to hanging lights and even a clock tower. This is the perfect location for senior pictures, individuals, headshots and more.
This location is particularly good for individuals and even some couples.
4. Wheeler Farm
Wheeler Farm is located in Murray and is the perfect location for countryside-like pictures but still staying within the Salt Lake Valley. There is a lake, bridge, flowers, trees, and many animals and perfect backdrops. There of course is the Wasatch mountains in the background.
This location is good for all photos.

5. Conservation Garden Park
Conservation Garden Park is located in West Jordan. Although a small place, it has many perfect photo spots. From small bridges to flowers and even picture frames! Conservation Garden Park is all about saving water and energy, so there are many spots where you can find plants native to Utah.
This location is good for Individuals, Couples and even small families.

6. McPolin / Osguthorpe Barn (Park City)
The McPolin Barn (previously the Osguthorpe barn) in Park City is a very beautiful location. From barn views to mountainside and wildlife. The McPolin barn is perfect for any sort of photos. Individuals, Couples, Families, Senior Pictures and more.
